Recorded live, straight to tape amongst the Belgrave forest, in Melbourne, Australia, “DROPZ” is the first release from a second collection of tunes by a Melbourne psychedelic desert soul band, Senivoda. The full album is due to come out in 2017.

The tune was inspired by the sounds of water dragons communicating over a river in the Blue Mountains. The substance for the lyrics is derived from the teachings of a Zen Master Shunryu Suzuki, who compares consciousness to a river of water, breaking into countless drops at the tip of a waterfall, falling through space and time, to meet again at the bottom of the fall in new formation.
A stunning video for “DROPZ”, made by a Melbourne director Rhys Newling, shot at Turpins Falls in Victoria, will accompany the song online. The extended collection of tunes, due for release in 2017, explores universal truths, their role and importance in today’s world.
