Written on the bank of Hawkesbury River, NSW, Australia, during a beautiful drizzle falling from the skies, this tune is a commentary on human behaviour, addiction to technology, pollution, confinement of nature, monetary and social systems. It is also a reminder of the importance of WATER and CLEAN WATER. We're made of water, literally. Having access to clean drinking water is the most important thing for all of us. Our wish is for us to be able to "drink clean water from every stream". Can this become our reality, and not just a dream...?
lyrics
Sitting on top of the bank
With my head up in the clouds
Thinking of what it means
Simply to be alive
Sitting on top of the bank
With my head up in the clouds
As the rain pours
Oh the rain pours
I hear her Lady River cry
Humans humans everywhere
With their plastic wrappers
Oh I swear I will go CRAZY
Man man objects
Fuel pumped up babes
Pollution find solution
It's time for revolution
Mother grows containing spark
True nature has a name of a National Park
They naked walked this Earth
Aborigines for millennia
Now we take out our iPads
Just to prove that we have been there
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Take another picture
Babies, babies born to slave
Who is this king that orders people
To work till graves (crazy)
Man made objects taking their place
Oppression, find aggression,
It's time for the assession
Limits grow till your feet anchor
Sign your name to the devil with the face of a banker
Rule the world with greed and you'll never be freed
Only love can conquer power constricting, calcifying
Sitting on top of the bank....
I wanna drink clean water from every stream
Let it be my reality, NOT just a dream
I wanna drink clean water from every stream...
